Note: Please ensure that your modem is fully setup and online before connecting/setting up the Wi-Fi router.

Watch this quick video to set up your Aria 2210 router in Router Mode

Connecting the Aria 2210 router to the modem:

  • Connect the ARIA 2210 to a Power Outlet.

  • Connect the ethernet cable from the LAN 1 port of the modem to the LAN 2 port of the Aria 2210.
  • Wait for the slow blinking/pulsing white LED.

NOTE: Please ensure that the Aria 2210 router is the only device connected to the modem. The second ethernet port LAN 2 (if present) should be left unused. Connecting additional devices directly to the modem may cause instability, connection drops and performance issues.

Now you are ready to setup the router. If you have additional Aria 2210 units to be setup as a mesh extender, please complete the setup of the initial main router unit first.

Initialization:

  • Open settings on your device and proceed to Wi-Fi settings where a list of available Wi-Fi networks are displayed.

  • From the list, tap on the one that matches your router. Use the sticker on the bottom of your Aria 2210 for reference. It usually looks like “HitronXXXXX-EasyConnect”. The Wi-Fi name may have a warning stating that the network is “unsecured” and/or “Sign-in required”, this is normal.

  • Wait for your device to fully connect. You device might show “Connected” or “Connected, no internet”, Don’t panic this is normal during setup.

  • Once connected, the Aria 2210 setup page will automatically pop up. It might take a few seconds for the pop up window to appear sometimes after fully connecting to the Wi-Fi network. If the pop up doesn’t automatically appear after a few minutes please open your internet browser and go to http://192.168.0.1.

  • Now proceed with below steps very carefully.

Step 1: Let's add the ARIA2210 to your network:

  • Click “Ready to go!”

Step 2: Check your ARIA's light status:

  • Ensure that the lights on your Aria Router are slow blinking/pulsing white before proceeding next.

  • Click “Next”

NOTE: ❗If You See “No DHCP IP Detected” Don’t worry — this is easy to fix:

  1. Keep everything connected as it is
  2. Reset only the modem (hold reset 30–45 seconds)
  3. Wait 2–3 minutes for the modem's Online/Globe light to be solid
  4. Tap Next to retry setup

Step 3: Do you want to configure this device as a router or an extender?

  • This step is critical, please ensure the select “Configure as a router” option is selected, confirming with a blue check mark appearing on the top right of that selection.

  • Sometimes "Configure as an extender" might be selected by default. Please ensure "Configure as router" is selected before clicking "Next". Refer to picture below.

Step 4: Create your modem's administrator password:

  • Follow the instructions on the page to create a router admin password. Please note that this is not your Wi-Fi network’s password. This is your router admin password used to login in to the router’s settings page to change settings or manage the router if needed.

  • Click “Next” once you’ve entered your chosen router admin password.

Step 5: Create the Wi-Fi network name for your ARIA:

  • Enter the Wi-Fi name and password you wish to have for your new Wakey Internet connection.

  • Once completed click “Next”

Step 6: Name your ARIA2210:

  • Choose the room where your Aria is placed, country (Canada) and the relevant time zone.

  • Ensure the toggle for “Keep LED on during normal operation” is set to on. This helps troubleshoot the router using the light patterns if and when a problem arises in the future.

  • Click “Next” to complete the router setup.

Step 7: ARIA2210 – (Device’s Location) is now good to go

  • You’ve successfully setup your Aria 2210 in a router mode.

  • This page should display your Wi-Fi network’s name and password for confirmation.

  • You are all set. Your device has been successfully setup and configured. The pop up page might automatically close if not you could close it manually.

Your device might not automatically connect to your new Wi-Fi network. Please connect your device to the new Wi-Fi network with the name and password you chose on step 5.

Once connected to your new Wi-Fi network, If you need to change advanced router settings that can be done by logging into to http://192.168.0.1 with the username "cusadmin" and password that you created in step 4. We highly recommend only doing this if you have good technical knowledge of router settings or instructed by one of our technical support staff.

If you have additional Aria 2210 units to be set up as extenders, Please connect your mesh unit to power, wait for complete bootup then start from the “Initialization” step of setting up your router from the beginning. On Step 3, remember to select the “Configure as Extender” option and continue the setup process.
